Yes! I shall definitely return to Corregidor

The day started when we went to CCP Terminal A at the CCP Complex at 5:00am. Sun Cruises’ office was still closed so we decided to stay beside CCP theater. After waiting for an hour, we decided to go back to the office to claim our tickets and check-in our luggage.

We rode a shuttle at 7:00 am. It took us to the MV Sun Cruiser which was docked beside the Jumbo Floating Palace. We boarded the ship at 7:30 am and waited until the ship sailed away Manila Bay at 8:00 am.

An hour later and after braving the waves and going outside the ship to get a better glimpse of the sea, I felt sick – “Seasick” as what the cabin crew said. Good thing they took care of us. I wasn’t the only one who felt it. Most of the passengers also got dizzy. According to the crew, the trip was choppy since we were going against the waves.

We arrived at 9:30 am and went directly to the tranvia or trams assigned to us. We were also with Filipinos who were there for the Overnight package. Our group was very happy and lively. That was also because of our very funny and I must say “veteran” tour guide, Uncle Bob. Every time he said something about a place or a trivia about Corregidor, it came with a joke or punchline.

“Dito sa Corregidor may South Dock….. sa China maraming Peking Du(o)ck!… :)

Tranvia or Trams

The tour was very exhausting since we needed to go up and down the trams to get better photos and better glimpse of the ruins.

At 11:00 am we went to Corregidor Inn to have some rest and to eat our lunch at La Playa Restaurant. An hour later, we continued our trip and visited more places. At 2:30 pm we went back to the hotel to check-in and get our luggage.

Since we were so tired, we decided to get some sleep. Later the same day, we ate our dinner at La Playa. The food were expensive though. We had chicken Inasal and Pork and Chicken Adobo. After eating, we borrowed the scrabble from the recreation area and headed back to our room to play. Tired with the day’s trip. we decided to rest.

We woke up at 7:00 am and decided to have a short walk beside the dock. Then we ate in a small restaurant near the San Jose Church. On the menu: Tapsilog and Nissin seafood noodles. The price: 180.00Php.

After eating we decided to have walk again. We visited San Jose Church and the beach, collected some shells and rocks and took more pictures.

After an hour, we went back to our room to freshen up since check-out time is at 12:00 nn. We still have plenty of time before our trip back to Manila Bay so we decided to have a short walk and took more pictures.
